The Process

IT’S A WEDDING . . .
NOT A PHOTO SHOOT:

Our goal is to create a photo essay of images that blend fine-art photography, editorial images, and relaxed casual portraits. We strive to visually create a story of your wedding in a more realistic, emotional and artistic way. Working throughout the day with a minimum of direction and posing allows our clients to relax, be themselves and remember their wedding as a day spent with family and friends.

ALBUM DESIGN:

Our Signature album designs make us unique. Our clients trust us to see their wedding through our eyes. We believe it’s very important that the photographer who captured the images and experienced your wedding day, should design and personalize your wedding album. By the end of the day we know your personality, we know your family, we know how each and every event unfolded throughout the day. In effect we’ve become part of your family. Every wedding is different, and every couple unique, we don’t use pre-designed templates. Every page of every album is custom designed by us, and approved by the Bride and Groom. This process is not rushed. We are creating a family heirloom and it’s got to be perfect.

TECH STUFF:

Our studio is 100% digital. We shoot exclusively in “RAW” mode. Unlike JPG’s, RAW files (also known as digital negatives) give us greater latitude for color correcting and enhancing images in post production. This also means that any photograph can be made into color, black and white, sepia or any other custom effect. Working this way (from RAW images) is more time consuming and requires much more computer storage, but the high quality that results from this workflow makes it well worth the extra effort.
