Welcome to "The Blog"!!!

We specialize in fine art documentary weddings – corporate and lifestyle stock imagery - and highly effective headshots for models, actors, and businesses. We are located on the border of LA and Orange County, about 20 minutes north of Disneyland. If you’re looking for the most up to date info, check out the various info pages along with some of our latest posts. For a more detailed portfolio, click on the website link at the top of the page. Although most of our weddings take place in the Los Angeles – Orange County area we love to travel. Santa Barbara and the bay area are perennial favorites. We are looking for couples who place a high value on photography and want something tailored to your vision and personality. We only accept 20 wedding commissions per year. This allows us to have a hands on, and personal approach to your photography and album design. Planning something interesting, we have 4 spots left for 2008 and we are booking now for 2009. Call for a consultation, we’ll set up a time to meet and customize something to fit your day.

The Loft is officially open and we are looking for Models and Actors!!

We are adding Head Shots, Corporate and Stock photography to our services this year and we are looking for models, actors, make-up artists, or anyone who wants to trade time to work on some select projects in exchange for portfolio pieces.  I’m extending this offer to all my potential brides also.  I have a lot of requests for contemporary portraits for web use.  If your willing to come in and play in the studio for a few hours, you can get some dynamite “FREE” engagement portraits.  AJ and Christina were first to take me up on this offer.  The subject was a little fun tension.  Here are a few samples from the shoot.  Anyone interested drop me a note and we can talk about concepts.  Thanks.

AJ and Christina at Descanso Gardens

Escaping frigid weather, AJ left med school, bound for warm weather, holiday fun, and a much needed reunion with Christina.  While here, we met up at Descanso Gardens for their engagment shoot.  I’m just starting the editing process, but I thought I’d post a few fun images while they wait.  The rest should be online by the end of the week.  Enjoy!!!

We all wish Conny the best of luck on her new consulting adventures and we look forward to many a good giggle when she shows up as a talking head for CNN or heaven forbid; Fox News.  YIKES!!

Mary and Jay tie the Knot in Long Beach.

The Yahoo PhotoBooth made a surprise appearance at Mary and Jay’s fabulous wedding in Long Beach this past weekend.  While we await the wedding images, I thought I’d upload the photobooth and give everyone a giggle.  In honor of all the OC lawyers who participated, I’ve decided to officially change the name to simply; “MugShots”.  Special thanks goes out to Dan and Jordan, who took control, wrangled the crowd and added their special touch to the evening.  I have it on good authority that both are rethinking their carriers with a nod toward a future in photography; although Jordan told me privately his real dream is to “Direct”!!  For all who wish to take a peek, the photobooth images are ONLINE under the heading “MugShots“.  Mary and Jay have the password.  Enjoy!!
